2012 is an action movie about the end of the world. It runs 158 minutes, is rated PG-13, and was released in 2009. It stars John Cussack as Jackson Curtis, a divorced and struggling writer. The plot follows him as he and his family get caught in the impending destruction of the world as we know it. While camping at Yellowstone, Jackson enters a restricted area and discovers a lake he knew as a kid was dried up. Eventually he begins piecing together information to help save his family.
This movie was a decent movie. It had amazing special effects throughout the movie. My favorite scene in the movie is when Jackson and his family meet a Russian with a AC-130 cargo plane. They begin to fly out of the city they are in as a giant ash cloud begins hurdling at them. They manage to fly out of the city as it splits down the seems, causing the buildings to crumble and fall down a giant chasm. There are parts in the movie where the graphics are horrible, such as the limo scene. The beginning was also very slow and boring with little action. I would recommend this movie as a rental.

Knight and Day Review
Knight and Day is an amazing action/comedy. It runs 109 minutes, is rated PG-13, and was released in 2010. It stars Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz in this movie. Tom Cruise plays as Roy Miller, a secret agent that is protecting a young man who created a perpetual motion energy source. As he is entering an airport, he meets June Havens (Cameron Diaz), a young woman that is scheduled to board the same plane as him. While she is in the bathroom, a group of secret agents attack Roy and he successfully kills them all. Roy and June then proceed to go on a series of adventures to protect the boy and his invention.
I would recommend this movie to just about anyone. It has a lot of hilarious segments and the comedy is clean. There is a part where Roy shoots one of June's friends in the leg and tells him it will be alright and he will get a medal for it. Later on in the movie, June visits an elderly couple that has the typical wife wants to adventure, husband is a pessimist relationship. I cannot think of anything that I can scrutinize with this movie.

Step Brothers Review
Step Brothers is a hilarious comedy. It is rated R, runs 98 minutes, and was released in 2008. It stars Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly as Brennan Huff and Dale Doback. The two men are in their late 30's when their parents got married. Brennan and Dale still live with their parents and decide to attempt to ruin each other's lives. Soon, they decide to join teams and get back at Brennan's brother, Derek. Eventually, they become best friends in their quest to become adults.
I love this movie, but it is not for people that easily get offended. It has a few very crude moments. There is a scene where Brennan has to lick a dog turd that turned white. There are some other parts that have sexual themes that are not appropriate for children. If you don't mind crude themes, this movie is hilarious and is a must-see movie.

Due Date Review
Due Date is a comedy that was released in 2011. It is rated R and lasts about 95 minutes. Robert Downey Jr. stars as Peter Highman in this movie. He meets a man at the airport, Zach Galifianakis, who ends up gets them put on a no fly zone. Zach's character, Ethan, is on a mission to go to Hollywood to act. After they get kicked off the plane, Ethan offers a ride to Peter. Along the way Peter and Ethan get in a lot of trouble regarding Ethan's marijuana use and glaucoma. They get arrested by the Mexican border police and Ethan steals a police truck and begins to race across the highway. Along the way, Ethan and Peter get into a lot more trouble.
I was not a huge fan of this movie. It too many parts that were pointless to the storyline. There was a part where a wheelchair bound Iraq veteran beat up Peter. There were very little humorous parts in this movie, and when there was a funny segment, you would already know it because they showed it in the commercials. I wouldn't recommend it to a lot of people, but I have heard that some people thought it was hilarious.

Despicable Me Review
Despicable Me is a great animated comedy with brilliant voice stars. It lasts about 95 minutes, is rated PG, and was released in 2010. Steve Carell voices Gru in this comedy. The plot line is fairly straight forward and basic. Gru is a super villain that is starting to age. After countless low income evil deeds and failed plans, the Bank of Evil decides to cut him and enlist a younger, more promising villain. Gru then adopts three small orphan sisters and secretly has them deliver cookie robots to steal a shrink way from the new villain. As the story progresses, Gru begins to love the three children and he wants to become a father figure.
I think is a really good movie. There are minions that Gru has working for him that are hilarious. They do a ton of wacky and crazy activities. One time while they are in a store, one of them shakes up a pop bottle and opens the lid. The minion starts to fly around the store because of the fizzy pop rocket. I would recommend this movie to just about anyone.

We Were Soldiers Review
We Were Soldiers is one of my all-time favorite movies. It is rated R, runs 138 minutes, and was released in 2002. It stars Mel Gibson as Lt. Col. Hal Moore, an Air Calvary officer in the United States Army. He leads an Air Calvary unit that uses helicopters to hop in and out of battle during the Vietnam War. His unit gets pinned down by intense Vietcong units led by a fantastic Vietcong officer. The movie plays out to be an intense game of chess that is juiced out of its mind on steroids.
I love this movie because it has a lot of war images and techniques. I love watching any movie that has battle scenes and AK-47's, and this movie is no exception for my thoughts of a great war movie. It has fantastic images of grit when bullets, grenades, and bombs explode and send all types of shrapnel in the air. It also shows the struggles of the wives whose husbands are at war. It shows how they band together and help each other through horrible events. One of the most touching moments is when Hal Moore's wife takes a package of letters from a cab driver and begins to notify the wives of their husbands deaths. I would recommend this movie to anyone I knew if they could handle blood, gore, death, intense language, and graphic war images. If one could handle these images, then this is one of the greatest films ever created.

I Am Number Four Review
I Am Number Four is an amazing movie with science fiction themes throughout the entire film. It is rated PG-13, runs 109 minutes, and was released into theaters in 2011. It stars Alex Pettyfer as John Smith. John is an alien being from another planet, and he is forced to constantly run and change his identity. There is another race of alien beings that killed his family and race. John is number four out of nine aliens that escaped the genocide. The evil aliens are systematically killing off the nine aliens and they killed number three at the beginning of the movie. As the movie goes on, John starts falling in love with a girl, Sarah. Her ex boyfriend kidnaps her and has his football friends attack John, but John begins to use new powers that he just learned about. Soon the aliens find him and he has to join forces with the sixth alien and a nerdy boy.
I would recommend this movie to anyone I know. It has a lot of Scifi themes and great action. It also stars Dianna Agron as Sarah. Dianna is one of the major stars of Glee. She does a terrific job and makes her character completely believable. I watched this in theaters and it was worth the money.

The Expendables
The Expendables is a great movie with an amazing cast of characters. It is rated R, runs 103 minutes, and was released in 2010. It stars Sylvester Stallone and just about every other major action star. Stallone leads a group of men to do an impossible mission. They are told to take down an entire government regime on an island. The group meets up with an informant that will help them infiltrate the compound. They soon find out that she is the dictator's daughter, and they are forced to make life altering decisions.
I thought this movie was amazing, but it made me mad because it had flaws in its writing. It said that the AA-12 shoots 250 rounds per minute, but the AA-12 shoots 300 rounds per minute. Overall this was a really good action film with some outrageous scenes. I would recommend this film to anyone that likes explosions, Jet Li, Jason Stathum, or Sylvester Stallone.

Stardust Review
Stardust is a fantastic fantasy/romance movie. It runs 122 minutes and is rated PG-13. It stars Robert De Niro, Claire Danes, and Charlie Cox. The main character, Tristen, is looking to win the heart of a girl that lives in his town. She agrees to give him a chance if he collects a falling star for her. He uses a magic candle to travel to the star, but he finds it is actually a beautiful woman. He soon learns he entered a magical world and that there are a group of witches that want to kill the woman in order to regain their youth.
I absolutely loved this movie. It reminds me a lot of The Princess Bride in the way it was filmed and directed. It has many fantasy pieces within its amazing story. The actors are extremely dynamic and they allow you to become engrossed with the plot. There are little to no down times where the film becomes slow and boring. I would recommend this movie to just about everyone I know.

RED
RED is an extremely humorous movie. RED stands for "retired and extremely dangerous" in this movie. It is rated PG-13 and runs approximately 111 minutes long. It stars Bruce Willis as Frank Moses, an ex-CIA agent. He discovers that there is a string of murders that are gunning down members of a task force that held a part of a civilian slaughter in Guatemala. He meets up with a group of "RED" CIA agents, and they begin to unravel the story of what is happening.
I loved this movie! It is a great comedy with an amazing cast. John Malkovich plays as a satellite weary lunatic. He creates a great character and has an amazing acting performance. He embodies the dream of what I want to become when I grow old. The movie is great and I recommend it to anyone.

The Replacements Review
The Replacements is an inspirational football movie that strikes every athletes' dream, a second chance. It runs approximately 98 minutes long. It is rated PG-13 and was released in 2000. Keanu Reeves stars as Shane Falco, a boat scraper that used to be a college superstar. He is approached by a professional coach to join a replacement team. The coach was creating this team because the professional players were on a strike about salaries. The replacement team had to band together, become a team, and win 3 out of 4 games to go to the playoffs for the first time in 7 years.
This movie is amazing in my opinion. It truly captures the dream of a second chance. I love how you can watch and see how the team starts to band together. The best part is that they don't have to physically say that they are banding together, but is just happens through the body language and actions. The team is filled with tons of strange characters that just add to the awkward situation. I would recommend this movie to anyone that wants to see a good movie.

Boondock Saints Review
Boondock Saints is a fantastic movie that stars Willem Dafoe, Sean Patrick Flanery, and Norman Reedus. It runs approximately 108 minutes, released in 1999, and is rated R. The main story is about two brothers that are caught in a bad place with the Russian Mafia, and they begin to kill the scum of the city. They meet up with their friend, Rocco, and he assists them with their quest for good. Willem Dafoe stars as an FBI detective that is caught in a moral delemma between the law and what he feels is right.
This movie is an amazing acting performance of all the actors. They create a realism that is outstanding and deserving of dozens of awards. It is one of my favorite movies because of the comedy, action, and drama that lies within the script. If you are offended by multiple f-bombs and seeing cat guts sprayed across the wall of an apartment, this movie probably isn't for you.

"And Shepherds we shall be
For thee, my Lord, for thee.
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand
Our feet may swiftly carry out Thy commands.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee
And teeming with souls shall it ever be.
In Nomene Patris Et Filii Spiritus Sancti."

Braveheart Review
Hello everyone, today I will be reviewing one of my all-time favorite movies, Braveheart. This amazing movie was released in 1995, is rated R, and runs approximately 177 minutes. Mel Gibson plays a Scottish commoner, William Wallace, who is provoked by the English government when they kill his wife. This act makes Wallace snap, recruit an army, and rebel against the English tyranny. During the film, Wallace and his followers face many struggles: Love, pride, loss, and deception.
This is one of my all-time favorite movies due to the fact that Mel Gibson directed the movie, as well as star with a fantastic performance. He embodies the symbol of hope and righteousness in this epic tale. When he speaks, he fills every word with emotion and courage. The film is shot in a gritty style that puts the viewer into a suspension of disbelief for the entire film. In my opinion, this film is a classic that everyone should see at some point in their lives.
